The works in this Muklay exhibition still speak about the duality experienced in everyday life. Starting with painting as a medium, Muklay now also works with digital media, which is one of their efforts to keep up and not be left behind by the rapid development of the online world. Muklay, who keeps running to catch up with a world that moves so fast, finds themselves living in two worlds. Over time, Muklay feels that the boundary between the real world and the virtual world becomes increasingly blurred.

The main figure that appears in all of Muklay’s works in this exhibition is a representation of themselves. Some are depicted in uncomfortable positions, choked, divided, cut, and portrayed to the extreme point where internal organs like eyes and intestines come out of the main figure’s body. In some works, the main figure is depicted wearing different costumes. “A Day In My Life” also attempts to depict the various roles that Muklay experiences in their daily life, accompanied by restlessness and hardship.

The horror of the chosen objects by Muklay contrasts greatly with the choice of colors. The striking neon colors can make the audience overlook the horror objects that appear in their paintings. At first glance, their works may seem enjoyable, but upon closer observation, the colors that give a “pleasant” impression actually conceal scenes and objects full of terror.
